Consorzio Tutela Aceto Balsamico di Modena and Consorzio Tutela Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena will come together under the aegis of “Le Terre del Balsamico”, symbolising the partnership they have formed for the promotion and elevation of Modena’s distinct balsamic vinegar products, at the high-profile Cibus 2024 event. Held in Parma, the event will act as a showcase for a series of promotional and communication activities.
The two Consortiums, which share the common goal of safeguarding the authenticity of their products, will organise two forums moderated by journalist Francesca Romana Barberini. The forums are designed to raise awareness among industry operators and professionals of the importance of authenticity in the current climate, highlighting the economic and social value of the food and wine culture.
The first forum, entitled “The unique flavour of authenticity. Protecting the value of authenticity in the era of fakes”, will take place on Wednesday 8 May at 2.30 p.m. and involve representatives of institutions and the world of consortia. The second forum, “Modena and Balsamic Vinegar: the Taste of Culture and the Culture of Taste”, is scheduled for Thursday 9 May at 10.30 a.m. and will mainly involve figures from the world of culture and journalism. Enrico Corsini, Chairman of Consorzio Tutela Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena D.O.P. and “Le Terre del Balsamico”, underlines the importance of collaborations with other Consortiums, like those of Lambrusco and Parmigiano Reggiano, in order to mutually promote Italy’s finest food and wine products. Activities during the event will include daily tastings to illustrate the characteristics of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena P.D.O. and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena P.G.I., as well as sessions dedicated to pairings with other local products, such as Lambrusco and Parmigiano Reggiano. There will also be events on the use of Modena Balsamic Vinegar in cocktails, with masterclasses organised in collaboration with Choice Parma. All “Le Terre del Balsamico” activities will take place at stand I 064 in Pavilion 5 of Fiere di Parma, offering a unique opportunity to discover and appreciate some of the finest flavours the Modena area has to offer. Event added as part of the Region of Emilia-Romagna RDP 2023-2027 funding for the RDP – SRG10 Call for Tenders Regional Council Resolution no. 1366 of 31 July 2023.
